- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
How to make it
- Heat oven to 350°F.
- Whisk eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
- Stir in the pecans.
- Pour into the pie crust.
- Bake 50–55 min until the center is just set with a slight jiggle.
- Cool completely before slicing — it firms up as it cools.
Dolores warns
If the crust edges brown too fast, tent them with foil. And let it cool ALL the way or you'll have pecan soup.
Jenny’s notes
Dolores swears this came from her grandmother, so it's properly ancient. The original card is half worn away — glad it's safe here now. Uncle Ray confesses to two slices before dinner.
